We aim to build lasting relationships with our suppliers to make our supply chain more responsible by integrating environmental, social, and economic criteria into our purchasing decisions.
Our ambition: To create a supply chain that combines performance and responsibility. This approach seeks to reduce our impact, strengthen transparency, and contribute to an industry that respects resources.
We have updated our purchasing policy to fully integrate the principles of sustainable development. Every new collaboration with a supplier of raw materials, chemicals, subcontracting, or packaging is now based on several criteria: a Life Cycle Analysis of the product, an in-depth CSR assessment, and the signing of a code of conduct guaranteeing compliance with our ethical commitments.
After an initial CSR evaluation in 2023 of our EMEA suppliers, we are reinforcing our commitment by launching a new assessment campaign that includes our Porcher do Brasil and BGF Industries sites. This annual review allows us to continuously improve partner selection by ensuring compliance with our environmental and social responsibility standards. As with new suppliers, we require an LCA, a full CSR evaluation, and the signing of a code of conduct.
Reducing our carbon footprint is a key objective of our environmental strategy. We continue to refine our Net Zero energy balance by integrating precise data on site consumption and budget impact. In this context, we plan a full transition to green energy by 2025 for our seven sites in France and our site in Brazil, aiming to maximize CO₂ emission reductions—saving 1,200 tons of CO₂ per year—while optimizing energy costs.
To reduce waste and optimize logistics, we promote the use of beam carriers, thread spool supports, and reusable, returnable packaging. This approach is part of a circular economy strategy, reducing resource consumption and encouraging material reuse.
